Last night, RAYMOND WEIL celebrated its sixth year as Official Watch & Timing Partner of The BRIT Awards for 2013 by gifting some of the most recognised names in the music industry at this year’s star studded awards ceremony, held for the third year at London’s premier entertainment location, the prestigious 02 Arena, London.

For this event, We created two special edition timepieces, from the famous Freelancer collection line, limited to a total of 75 pieces. They were gifted to key artists, presenters and performers during the evening’s celebrations.

This year’s event was held to honour War Child who are celebrating 20 years of work changing and saving the lives of 800,000 children in the world’s most war torn countries.

Why is number four represented by “IIII” instead of “IV” on RAYMOND WEIL watches? Under Louis 14 (XIIII), Roman number 4 was spelt IIII. Hence the actual use which is in fact the oldest one. It was later changed to a subtractive form (IV) - or common form - to avoid any confusion between Louis XIII and Louis XIIII coins (Louis XIV being easily distinguishable from Louis XIII).
